Coachmen Rod and Custom is a club for anyone interested in the old car hobby. Our members primarily restore and collect street rods, hot rods and muscle cars, although several members do exclusively collect and restore antique autos. The Coachmen membership is limited to 50 members. We have monthly membership meetings and cruises that are hosted at HSBC Bank,151 Post Rd. Darien, CT. Dues are $50.00 per year. Please visit our membership info. page
if you are interested in joining the Coachmen.

Members must own a 1983 or older vehicle.

The Coachmen Rod & Custom Club was originally formed in the
late 1950's. The club was re-formed again in 1988. Many original members still belong.

The Group first had an informal cruise at the Skipper's Restaurant
next to Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk in 1987 where the idea of re-forming
the Coachmen club was talked about. We had our first official meeting
at DiNardo Bros. office & later moved to the St. Anns club. So the Coachmen club was formed. Our official cruises started at Twin Donut then moved to Burger King on Route 7 Norwalk, Little Anthony's, Back to Twin Donut, Dutchess in Darien, Red Lobster, the Cookhouse Restaurant in Darien & Hank Mays Good Year Automotive Center and our current location is HSBC bank in Darien.

We hold our cruises currently at HSBC Bank which provides us with our own private parking lot that is well lit and allows us to DJ our own classic cruising rock and roll music! Our cruise is within walking distance of several other fine restaurants and ice cream parlors. We award weekly trophies and door prizes.

During The Summer, the Coachmen put on huge beach cruises in Norwalk, Connecticut, with the assistance of the Norwalk Parks and Recreation Department. These 4 time annual beach cruises are canned food drives for our local charity, the St. Vincent DePaul food bank. Our beach cruises can attract several hundred cars from around the tri-state area. 1983 & older vehicles are welcome at these shows. The town of Norwalk provides us with a well-lit secure parking lot with beautiful views of Long Island Sound. The beach concession is run by Stew Leonard's, a local landmark. At all beach cruises we have a live band that plays our favorite oldies. Trophies are also awarded at our special beach cruises, including trophies presented by the Norwalk Mayor and Police Chief.

Our Club makes contributions during the course of the year to
various charitable organizations & to help benefit our community.

The Coachmen welcome every classic car owner and lover in the tri-state area to join us each Wednesday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM for a night of great cars, people, music and food. 1983 & older vehicles & Special interest cars after 1983. Whether you wish to become a Coachman, or just stop by for the evening, we look forward to meeting all of you!
